In times of redensification, Stadterle combines scarce, intimate living space with plenty of communal areas in order to meet differing ways of living with a variety of residential units. The two projects Hotel Nomad and Cooperative Building Stadterle received the Good Buildings Award Basel Stadt Basel Landschaft on 30 October 2018. The cooperative building was developed in a participative planning process and aims to create a sense of community. The exhibition tries to interpret density in a positive light – as a “sensible utilisation of buildable territory”. The exhibition entitled “Dichtelust– Forms of Urban Coexistence in Switzerland” is about to open at the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum.
